Drag-on Dragoon 3 Final Song Breakdown (Spoilers)

Can’t get the song out of my head, so might as well talk a little about it ^^;

Even though the dance is in the order of Zero, Five, Four, Three, Two, One and All,

the order of the ‘themes’ being played is actually:

Zero, One, Five, Four, Two, Three and Zero.

So while:

Zero is dancing – Zero’s theme is playing
Five is dancing – One’s theme is playing
Four is dancing – Five’s theme is playing
Three is dancing – Four’s theme is playing
Two is dancing – Two’s theme is playing
One is dancing – Three’s theme is playing
All are dancing – Zero’s theme is playing

I kinda don’t understand why, while keeping the Final Song as it is, that they can’t just swap around the themes among the characters to make this whole thing more orderly? ^^;

Anyway, what are these ‘themes’?

Basically, besides Zero, each girl has two summons in the game. When you fight these summons, the battle music, although different, have the same underlying tune depending on the girl.

Here I list out the theme songs in ‘the order of the themes being played in Final Song’.

Zero’s Theme

One’s Theme

Five’s Theme

Four’s Theme

Two’s Theme

Three’s Theme

Just gonna put another Zero’s theme here to follow the order till the end ^^;

Zero’s theme Kuroi Uta was sung by two different singers, one for Japanese version and one for International version, even though the language remains Japanese and the instrumental part is the same. Your guess is as good as mine, but unlike Nier’s two different protagonists, I don’t think this is a matter of taste ^^;

And let’s not the forget the last of the last song, Silence Is Mine:

The uploader MunaKadeshi did a great job calling out the themes basically.

Gotta say it’s hard for me to pick which theme I like the most ^^;

Also, all these songs (themes/boss battles/ending) are in the CD2 of the OST.
